Few residential sales associates have the combined knowledge of architectural history, residential renovation, and the real estate market as Herbert Brito.
Born in Cuba, Herbert came to Florida by way of Operation Pedro Pan. After graduating from Coral Gables Senior High School, Herbert earned a Master of Arts in Architecture degree at the University of Florida with a specialty in Architectural and Historic Preservation.
During his career, Herbert has served as Architectural Historian at the National Register of Historic Places and was the first Preservation Planner for the City of Savannah. He has been appointed a Design Excellence Peer at the US General Services Administration and named Dean of Building Arts at the Savannah College of Art & Design. His residential renovation projects have received awards from the Historic Charleston Foundation, The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, and the American Society of Interior Designers.
In 2006, Herbert became a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate with the goal of assisting clients buy and sell historic houses. Over the years, his real estate transactions have expanded to condominiums, multi-family housing, and commercial properties.
In addition to his real estate tasks, Herbert stays involved in community activities such as the annual Coral Gables Tour of Kitchens and has led bicycle tours of historic Coral Gables. His reputation for responsiveness, attention to detail, and successful closings keeps his clients coming back.
